Eisai Research Institute is a four-building laboratory facility located in Andover, MA. The four buildings include a Biology building, Chemistry building, DSD building (sustainable development), and Administration building. The primary function of this complex is research and development.
HVAC
This project consisted of steam, hot water, chilled water, and underground fuel distribution systems. Ductwork systems included galvanized, aluminum, stainless steel, and PVC construction. Main HVAC equipment included 7 major air handlers, 2 chillers, 2 cooling towers, 4 boilers, 17 strobic fans, and hundreds of terminal units, Phoenix valves, minor fans, reheat coils, and sound attenuators. Equipment and materials procurement, intense coordination, scheduling, and proper staging were all vital tasks in facilitating the multi-layered construction of above-ceiling systems.
