PROJECT INFORMATION
Core & Shell project for 3 floor Lab/Office building renovation. Provided all base building HVAC equipment and installed hot water and chilled water plants as well as duct shafts for future tenant connections.
HVAC SYSTEM
Phoenix Mechanical led coordination efforts, producing complete 3D coordination drawings for this project. The CAD department ergonomically optimized layout and routing for the allowable space in each tightly bound mechanical room.
DDC upgrades were installed to advance the existing Building Management Control System and seamlessly integrate the existing office fit-out equipment.
The office spaces are served by (2) replacement Rooftop Units with gas heat and DX cooling, while the lab spaces are served by (3) Makeup Air Units with hot water, chilled water, and heat recovery. The (3) Exhaust Air Handling Units were fabricated in shop by the sheet metal subcontractor in a heroic effort to salvage project schedule due to long equipment lead times. This was done by building a plenum box w/ coil connections that was ducted to (2) Greenheck lab fans. Hot water is produced by (3) new gas fired boilers. Chilled water is produced by (2) new air-cooled chillers.
