PROJECT INFORMATION
Two five-story wing additions and a new double-height penthouse at an R&D pharmaceutical / office facility. Majority of construction was concentrated on labs and an extremely dense and congested penthouse.
HVAC SYSTEM
Duct systems included supply distribution system tied into custom AH units, extensive lab exhaust systems with Phoenix air valves and Tech Air valves tied into 8′ high utility fans located in the penthouse, including stainless steel exhaust (2 types), welded exhaust, PVC exhaust, and galvanized exhaust systems, as well as special Lindab ductwork. There was a total of approximately 400 air valves and boxes. Piping systems consisted of 12″ diameter steam piping, 10″ diameter chilled water piping, distribution to “cooling beams” and tie-ins to existing building systems.
