PROJECT INFORMATION

Complete gut/renovation of a 4 floor office building.

HVAC SYSTEM

Phoenix Mechanical provided design-assist services on this project working closely with the GC, owner, architect, and mechanical engineer as construction was ongoing while the HVAC design was evolving and being completed.  All pricing was budgeted at the beginning of the project based on conceptual design parameters and finalized as the various areas and system designs were completed.  Upper 2 floors were occupied while final design and construction of the lower 2 floors were being completed.  HVAC system was furnished and installed for the original budget amount.  All schedule deadlines were met.

The top two floors are office space with (2) packaged rooftop AC units sized at 151 tons each with DX cooling and electric heating.  An insulated duct distribution system  to VAV and fan-powered boxes was provided.

Lower two levels include a commercial kitchen, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 2 story auditorium.  ‘Floating’ ceilings were installed in many areas.  HVAC systems for the lower levels include (2) remote 120 ton capacity chillers with underground piping, VAV and constant volume systems, (5) chilled water/electric heat AH units totaling 310 tons cooling capacity, computer room AC units, ductless split AC units, welded BI kitchen exhaust ductwork, and kitchen MUA/hood controls.

A complete Honeywell DDC control system was also provided.
